All: I am very proud to share with all of my IAAP colleagues the fact that my boss, Wendi Goldsmith, has been chosen as one of four finalists for Entrepreneur of 2010 by Entrepreneur Magazine. It has been a difficult journey for her, but throughout it all she persevered. She is a true inspiration to all of us who wish to succeed.

Happy Labor Day to IAAP members living in the United States.
Thanks for the many responses to our chapter's overwhelmingly successful program in August and the challenge provided by some uninvited guests. Your suggestions on how to word registrations and door prize drawings are very much appreciated and will be helpful tools as we move forward.

Each day I receive a copy of the SmartBrief on Leadership (go to www.smartbrief.com for more details).
The top story this morning was a blog entry by Scott Eblin in his "Next Level Blog" discussing the situation with the 33 trapped miners in Chile.
If you have not been following this drama, these gentlemen are facing the next several months still being trapped underground while the rescue efforts continue above ground. When the rescue workers first managed to get a microphone down to where the workers were, deep within the earth, the very first sounds heard were the miners singing the Chilean national anthem. Simply amazing.

Even though I am, by nature, an early riser, I believe 4:00 am is WAY TOO EARLY to be rising. And forget about "shining." Good grief.
Lucky for me I had the foresight to pack up everything last night that I didn't need for the morning. All that's left is a shower and packing my nightie.
One final sweep through the room to make sure I didn't forget anything. Bags all zipped and off I go.
